Nancy Gupta
Assistant Professor
Qualification
M.Sc., Ph.D.

Bio-sketch:

Dr. Nancy Gupta earned her Master of Science degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India, in 2010, followed by a doctorate from IIT Bombay in 2016 under the supervision of Professor Anindya Datta. Her doctoral research focused on the spectroscopic studies of Nafion thin films and membranes. She completed her postdoctoral work at IISER Pune with Professor Angshuman Nag, in 2019.

Afterward, Dr. Gupta joined the accelerator program Entrepreneur First in Bangalore, where she explored the market potential of her research ideas.  Realizing that these ideas were in the early stages of development and required several years of intensive research to be market-ready, she transitioned to Thermo Fisher Scientific. There, she led content marketing and the aggregator business initiatives.

In June 2021, Dr. Gupta joined Netaji Subhas University of Technology as an Assistant Professor. At NSUT, her research group focuses on the preparation of nanomaterials for applications in sensing, biology, catalysis, and agriculture.
