Dr. Swapnil joined the Department of Chemistry at NSUT, Delhi, in January 2023. He earned his B.Sc. (2007), and M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry (2009) from KBCNMU, Jalgaon, Maharashtra. He qualified SET and was awarded the CSIR-NET-JRF in 2010. He completed his Ph.D. at the CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, in 2017. Following his doctoral work, he conducted postdoctoral research with Prof. J. B. Schlenoff at Florida State University, USA and with Prof. TLC at Seoul National University, South Korea. In 2019, Dr. Swapnil returned to India and served as an Assistant Professor at Jaihind College, Dhule, MS (July 2019 to Jan 2023), where he focused on teaching and research in organic and polymer chemistry, as well as chemical education.
Research area:
(a) Design and development of responsive materials (small organic molecules, fluorescent dyes, acrylates, polymers) and transforming waste and bio-based polymers into high-value materials.
(b) Descriptive research within chemical education for sustainable development.
